The Victorian Flying Scale Aircraft Association held a round of their competition in Albury over the weekend August 27th and 28th. The format was the same as in previous years, the competition was held on Saturday and Sunday set aside for a Scale Rally.
This years event was held in almost perfect weather conditions, which was a relief, because every day preceding the weekend the field was lost in heavy fog till about 11 o’clock.
With over twenty entries it was not possible to run three rounds in one day, so the competition was limited to just two rounds, a little wind in the middle of the day separated the scores so the event came down to some tight scoring. Several TCMAC members entered the competition part of the weekend and it was great to see new member Rhys Thompson have a go at his first competition. Under the guidance of Chris Henry, Rhys put in a great effort for his first attempt.
