Cancellation of TCMAC Float Fly In
19 to 21 Sep 2018
Hi All
Due to low water levels at the Hume dam, Twin Cities Model Aircraft Club (TCMAC) has made the difficult decision to cancel the event for this year.
The decision has been made at this time to provide early notification to all those who were planning to attend.
This is a major float fly-in event and a number of pilots make holiday arrangements so that they can attend each year.
We apologise to those that were coming to this years event but mother nature has schemed against us on this occasion.

We look forward to holding the event again in 2019 and hope that you put it in your calendar for next year.

Can you please pass this information on to any other pilots who may have been planning on attending.

2018/19 Committee

Well the AGM has been run and we are pleased to introduce the new Committee, well re-introduce as the case may be.

All positions were filled with President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer all being filled by the incumbents.

Congratulations to Graeme, David, Mike and Rod.

As for the 3 positions of General Committee, Tim and Baz were re-elected and with Tony Small standing down, Neil Baker

nominated and was duly elected.

The Club would like to thank Tony on his service to our organisation and hope that he enjoys the flying side of being a member of this great club.

If you are not sure who these office bearers are, click on the Current Committee tab ot the top of the page and you will be introduced to them.

As part of the AGM each year two awards are also given out. This years recipients were,

Club Person of the year was awarded to Rod McRae &

Both members were humbled and honoured to receive these recognitions.

Also a new video has been posted so check it out, and keep coming back to see more additions to your website.

See you all flying.

Classified Ads

While browsing the new website, you may have seen that we have a classifieds section for members to utilise.

Only members can add or edit and advert but any visitor to the website can view the ads.

When replying to an ad, the enquirer will not get to see your email details but a form will send you an email about the enquiry.

Feel free to add an advert if you have something to sell, swap, give away or indeed if you are looking for something to buy.

At this point however, the section that allows us to include pictures in the ad isn’t working correctly. As the Admin I do however have the capacity to add the pictures so, if you complete an ad, just email me any pictures (my email address is in my profile) and I will include them into the ad.

Happy Selling

Vic Scale Trophy @ TCMAC

Well a bit of a disappointing weekend overall with low numbers in attendance.

We had 3 members compete with 2 bringing home the bacon.

Rob Sargent & Chris Henry receiving their trophies

Congratulations to Rob Sargent on winning and Chris Henry on coming second.

Congratulations also goes out to Alwyn Brunton on his first scale comp. The smile on his face summed up the weekend for everyone.

Despite a poor attendance (even by our own members) those that were there had a great weekend.

The weather started off  a little average but, as Saturday afternoon went on, it became quite nice with some very good scores by the local crew.

In the end the two rounds flown on Saturday stood as Sundays round was cancelled due to some Melbourne pilots not being able to stay.

Some great social flying was done on Sunday.

A big thanks to the Victorian Flying Scale Aircraft Association for bringing their competition to our club and,  hopefully, next year they will return and more entries are received.

Craig Coleman Timed Event

This event, held annually at the TCMAC field, is held in memory of Craig Coleman. Craig was a long-standing member of TCMAC who died suddenly 8 eight years ago. Craig was renowned for his long flights, so it was seen to be fitting to run an event to remember Craig with an fun Competition that was based on flight duration.
The contest involves pilots flying for as close to 30 minutes without Continue reading
