In the lead up to the event held from the 14th to 16th October, There were many concerns regarding the weather and water levels. During setup on Friday there were rain showers however on the Saturday morning the weather had cleared and for both the Saturday and Sunday the weather was perfect for seaplanes.

There were 24 pilots entered with several wonderful aircraft. There were a few spills and thrills as usual and participants had a wonderful time. Attendees were well fed and a big “shout out” goes to Phil Moss and Dave Tulk for managing the catering

The fund raising raffle was drawn.

  • First prize went to Dan Carey from Chiltern. He is now the proud owner of a Kingfisher thanks to Albury RC Models and Hobbies
  • Second prize was won by David Balfour, he received an Outdoor Pack courtesy of the Great Outdoors Centre, Lavington
  • Third Prize was won by Ray Chapman. Who received $200 vouchers from Bunnings

Thanks to all who assisted in setup , running and clean up for the event. The club now has approval to run Saturday Seaplanes events between 3 and 5 PM until the end of Daylight savings. To this end, stay tuned for when the rescue boat will be taken out
