The day started fine and sunny with very light winds. By the time the last event finished, the clouds had come over and the wind started to spring up.

There were three challenges. The first two were ascent for 20 seconds under power and see who could glide the longest. The third event was a timed event to fly around a set course at low altitude.

Honourable mentions go to:

David Balfour who damaged his undercarriage when his aircraft became tangled in cattle tracks and due to the resulting damage, he could not participate in later events

Ken Osbourne who chose to crash into the outboard marker pole instead of flying around it
