Combat report 21st August 2022

The day started foggy. This delayed the start however once the activities began there was a great spectacle to behold. Contestants and spectators alike were enthralled by the skills, thrills and spills. An event like this always brings some carnage.

Honourable Mentions go to:

  • Tim Knight for smashing his engine without breaking his propeller
  • John Nicholas crashing in full view of participants and spectators
  • Alwyn Brunton for his collision with Mark Hubbard. (He believes that if Mark’s wing had not been lodged into his wing, he could have landed safely

Independent Scorers judged the event as attached.

A Sausage Sizzle was held after the event and comraderies and pleasantries were shared.

A big thank you to those who participated and spectated. Due to the huge success, another event is in the pipeline prior to the end of the year.
